The Durant Industrial Authority is governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees whose mission is to enhance and diversify the Durant community through new workforce development and investments that improve the quality of life for all.

Husband works for Exxon Mobil (XTO) where he was transferred to Oklahoma where she now resides. She has been here in Oklahoma for 9 yrs. She has 5 Children and 10 grandkids. Loves the lake life.

Jeffery R. Hammock was appointed as a member of the DIA in 2017.  He has been the President of Vision Bank in Durant since October 2007.  He began his banking career in 1982 and has been in banking for 39 plus years.  Jeff and his wife, Sandy, have three children and are all married. The youngest, Jase, is a 2012 graduate of Durant High School and a 2016 SE graduate. His daughter, Kalyn, also graduated from SE with her Masters in December 2014 and received her bachelors from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2011.  His oldest son, Josh, received his bachelor’s degree from SE in 2008 and his Masters in 2015.  Hammock has nine grandchildren. 

In addition to serving on the DIA, he is active at First Baptist Church in Durant on various committees along with helping at various times with other church related activities. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Durant, board member of the Oklahoma Bankers Association Intermediate Banking School and various other civic activities in the Durant community.  In addition, he is a board member of the Pregnancy Center of Bryan County.  He was also a former member of the National Board of Development for Oklahoma Baptist University and served as President of the Durant Area Chamber of Commerce in 2015 while being a chamber board member for 13 years.  In addition, he holds an active insurance license in the State of Oklahoma plus he holds a CDL.

Mike Davis photo

Mike Davis is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where he serves on the institution’s Executive Team as the Special Assistant to the President for Compliance. In addition to his role as a Trustee for the DIA, he serves as the Vice Chair of the Durant Board of Adjustment and is a former Chair of the Durant Streets and Infrastructure Task Force. He is involved in the Rotary Club of Durant, where he was President for the 2017-2018 year. He serves on the Board of Governors of the Oklahoma Bar Association representing Judicial District 2, and the Board of Directors of the Texoma Audubon Society. Mike is the Senior Consultant at Equity Consulting LLC, a firm he founded in Durant, which conducts investigations and trainings for civil rights compliance at government agencies, colleges, small businesses, and corporations. In his spare time, Mike serves as a volunteer family and divorce mediator for the Oklahoma Supreme Court’s Early Settlement Mediation Program and cheers for Savage Storm Athletics. He lives in Durant with his wife, Katy.

Thomas Newsom photo

Dr. Thomas Newsom began his duties as the 21st president of Southeastern Oklahoma State University on April 30, 2020. 

For the past two years, Newsom served as Vice President for Student Success and Dean of Students at Texas A&M-Commerce. Prior to that, he was President of Mesalands Community College in Tucumcari, New Mexico, which saw a significant increase in enrollment and improved graduation rates during his five-year tenure. 

Prior to assuming the presidency at Mesalands, Newsom served in numerous capacities for 13 years at The Art Institutes, including a six-year stint as president of The Art Institute of Dallas and four years as Vice Chancellor at South University.

A native of Sherman, Texas, Newsom earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from The University of North Texas, an M.S. in Higher Education from A&M-Commerce, and a B.A. in Business Administration from Austin College. 

He and his wife Vicky have three children.

Grace Rudolf is a co-owner of Lost Street Brewing Company. Grace is married to Alec Rudolf and they currently have two fur babies. She has her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She is a Member of Leadership Durant Class of 2021-2022.  Lost Street Brewing Company opened in May of 2021 and was awarded Small Business of the Year by the Durant Area Chamber of Commerce. Grace handles daily management and marketing tasks for Lost Street Brewing Company. She strives to create a place for our community to gather and grow.
