CMC Metals
The high-tech micro-mill of Commercial Metals Company (NYSE:CMC) opened its Durant plant in 2017 for the manufacture of high-strength steel, rebar, and fence posts; the Durant location enables the company to better serve a growing north Texas market while expanding into the Oklahoma market.

Other locations were considered in the company's site selection process back in 2003, but Durant's diligent efforts to locate just the rite site and to put together the right incentives sealed the deal with this leading manufacturer of residental glass. And today, Durant works just as diligently to support the plant's ongoing success.

 



Tubacex Durant
As the flagship manufacturing operation for the Spain-based Tubacex Group, the Durant mil manufactures straight and coiled precision tubing for high technology industries, and draws a cluster support of affiliated Salem Tube, Inc., which also operates in Durant.
